Indy 500 Pole Day Weather Forecast

I can remember the days when pole day for the Indy 500 used to draw well over 100,000 fans.  The crowds are making a bit of a comeback but it is still not quite that big.

Here is the Indianapolis weather for Pole Day tomorrow and Bubble Day on Sunday.

SATURDAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 70S. EAST WINDS 5 TO 10 MPH. CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION 50 PERCENT.

SUNDAY...PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGHS IN THE LOWER 80S. SOUTHEAST WINDS AROUND 5 MPH

GFS for Sunday, May 26
The GFS for race day on May 26 has a ridge building into the area. As long as the deep trough moves to the east coast, then no worries. The problem is that this is a blocking, highly amplified pattern that usually changes slower than what the models indicate 9 to 10 days out.
